Welcome to our newest incarnation of a Web site!

Yes, we are still here after the Great Ice Storm of 2009! We lost electricity for seven days and our son and his family lost theirs for 14 days. Ugh. I guess a lot of things could be worse. We stayed, thankfully, with our daughter and her husband and poodle for the week. It worked out better than any of thought it would. Had a great time, stayed warm, and they didn't fuss when I turned the heat up! Thanks Heather and Greg Glass for your gracious hospitality.

Also, a special hug and many, many thanks to son Bill, his wife Jaimi, their son Cooper, Heather and Greg for all the help picking up the storm tree debris and taking it out to the side of the street to be picked up by the City. We couldn't have done it with you. Thanks! And thanks to Danny Day, our neighbor, for use of his big tractor and trailor to carry the tree debris on to the curb. Helped more than you can know.

Comment: This shows the current time and temperature for Elizabethtown, KY, the quiet little hamlet we love to call home.

We are located about 40 miles South of Louisville, KY and about 15 miles South of Fort Knox, home of the famed "gold vault." Actually, it's called the US Treasury Depository, but that doesn't fall off the tongue as easily.
